Boga Rili/Bogalake /The lake of mystery :

This lake is created by a dragon fire or a earthquake. The interesting Boga Lake is believed to be created almost 2000 years back.

It is said that in the distant past there was no lake in this place, rather was a rich Indigenous village. some when in time the villagers noticed that each day a pair of their cattle is disappearing. questing a lot, one of the villagers that a gigantic snake resides there in a hidden hole and he is the eater of a pair of cattle every day. the villagers all together, except an old couple, attacked the snake and cut his head off. that night the old couple in their dream was instructed to leave the village and they did. as soon as the old couple left, the entire village with the villagers who attacked the snake went down; water flooded them. thus the lake is created and still there remains the signs of the old village. The deity reappeared in the form of a dreadful dragon and was responsible for the instant earthquake which resulted in the craving of the hillside, disappearing of that village and the formation of the legendary deep Boga Lake.

The ancient supernatural beliefs and folktales about the Boga lake is still alive for some strange specialty of the Boga lake at the present time. The Boga lake actually never dries up but there is no source of permanent water supply there because of not having the existence of any particular stream to fall in or out. Again, every year during April- May the transparent water of the Boga-lake becomes muddy. And these characteristics of the Boga lake are nothing but enough to add fuel to flame the fire of supernatural stories ahead.

Anthropologists, geologists and chemical experts are trying hard to solve the mystery of Boga lake. The Local people still believe that the ancient myth is unsolved.
